Cross Border Rental Cars
Wanting to cross state lines or country borders. After selecting your car model scroll down to the section ¨ Planning to travel to another country?¨ Here it will list the permitted countries & fees. For example Avis in France say you can travel to:-
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy - Mainland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland. You can't travel to countries that aren't listed.
Cross-border fee: € 96.00
Most rental car suppliers do not charge per country visited, but they do charge a one-time Cross Border Fee for driving into other countries, which is usually a flat fee and not a per-country charge. This fee covers the additional insurance and paperwork for taking a rental car outside the country of origin.

ONE WAY CAR HIRE
If you intend to drop off the vehicle in a different location from the pick up location, then tick the box “Return to a different location”. If then no cars are displayed at STEP2, then one way is not permitted between these locations. For one way rentals sometimes it can be a fee. This is almost always included in the total rental rate and payable at the desk on arrival.
